“High Tide” le nouvel album de BB & The Bullets (Rock ‘n’ Hall / Dixiefrog) prouve si besoin en était l’universalité du blues. Originaire de la région d’Auckland en Nouvelle-Zélande, le trio propose un blues-rock à la fois moderne et dans la tradition du genre. L’interprétation est parfaite avec même un featuring remarqué d’Eddie Rayner (Crowded House, Split Enz) à l’orgue sur le chanson-titre de l’album. Fort de douze titres mêlant titres originaux et reprises soigneusement choisies (« Walkin’ The Dog », « The Thrill is Gone », « Born Under A Bad Sign », etc..), « High Tide » s’impose comme l’une des agréables découvertes du moment à consommer bien évidemment sans modération.
