Le nouvel album de "Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-polar Blues" est un nouveau départ, fortement inspiré par la participation du groupe à l'International Blues Challenge à Memphis.

Ce voyage presque initiatique au cœur du Blues et du Rock, a créé l'énergie et l'âme qui font de ce nouvel album, l'album d'un trio (Guitare/chant, contrebasse, Batterie) inspiré, poussé par toute l'expérience du combo, et pourtant inédit et original. Avec une guitare ancrée dans le blues, mêlée d’énergie rock contemporaine et d’échos psychédéliques des années 60, Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues séduit par ses slides envoûtants, un accordage baryton, une contrebasse surprenante et une batterie virevoltante.

Formé il y a douze ans par Thomas Sarrodie (guitare, chant) et Sylvain Blanquiot (basse), le Thomas Sarrodie Group s’est imposé sur les scènes d’Occitanie avec divers batteurs, jusqu’à l’arrivée de Jérémy Cazorla aux fûts. Influencé par Stevie Ray Vaughan et Jimi Hendrix, Sarrodie apporte une touche personnelle, évitant les clichés, comme en témoignent trois albums studio et un live vibrant. Désireux d’évoluer, le trio a intégré contrebasse, slide et accordages barytons, redessinant son identité vers un blues roots tout en conservant une énergie rock. Rebaptisé Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues, le groupe s’est lancé dans une tournée et un EP éponyme. Cet EP reflète leur ambition de repousser les limites, avec des compositions évoquant le Delta ou les Hills, teintées de R.L. Burnside, tout en respectant une tradition des sixties avec une approche moderne.

The new album by "Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues" marks a fresh start, heavily inspired by the band’s participation in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis.

This almost initiatory journey into the heart of Blues and Rock created the energy and soul that make this new album—a work by a trio (guitar/vocals, double bass, drums)—inspired, driven by the combo’s full experience, yet unprecedented and original. With a guitar rooted in blues, blended with contemporary rock energy and echoes of 1960s psychedelia, Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues captivates with mesmerizing slides, baritone tuning, a surprising double bass, and dynamic drumming.

Formed twelve years ago by Thomas Sarrodie (guitar, vocals) and Sylvain Blanquiot (bass), the Thomas Sarrodie Group established itself on Occitanie’s stages with various drummers until Jérémy Cazorla joined on drums. Influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, Sarrodie brings a personal touch, avoiding clichés, as evidenced by three studio albums and a vibrant live recording. Eager to evolve, the trio incorporated double bass, slide, and baritone tunings, reshaping their identity toward rootsy blues while retaining rock energy. Renamed Thomas Sarrodie & Bi-Polar Blues, the band embarked on a tour and released a self-titled EP. This EP reflects their ambition to push boundaries, with compositions evoking the Delta or the Hills, infused with R.L. Burnside’s spirit, while respecting a sixties tradition with a modern approach.
